My Spruce
This giant, 100 year old spruce stands in the formal part of my yard less then 50 feet East of my living room window.
It is many things to my family; my son's favourite tree to climb, a place to feed and watch the birds, a perfect shade cover during the summer's hottest days and a wonderful place to stand under a canopy of freshly fallen snow and listen to the deep quiet of winter.
I love this tree.
I can see why you love this tree. It is gorgeous, especially with its coat of snow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo ---- I think it is even more outstanding in b/w than it would be in color!
I've been finding that just about any winter looks better in b and w. Probably because it is more than half way there straight out of the camera.
DeleteWow, your snow covered spruce is gorgeous. Happy Tuesday, have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much Eileen! I'm all ready for the holidays...I think. And if I truly am, it will be a great week. If not, well hopefully I haven't forgotten too much. I hope you're having a great week!
DeleteIt's a beautiful tree! Perfect for all seasons but great at Christmas covered in snow!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it could grace a set of Christmas cards, doesn't it. Maybe for next year.

We have so ancient oaks and walnut trees, but our spruces are a little younger than yours, I love all the green we can admire in this season, actually we're surrounded by hundreds of thuja making the 'frame' of our estate, cedars, firs normandiana and other conifers, but none of them is so imponent and stunning as your spruce, you've to be proud of him !
ReplyDeleteSending sweet hugs to you, my darling Andrea

It is fantastic! I love trees, really so much more than flowers. Love this photo so much.

That is the best (and tallest) Christmas tree that I have seen.
ReplyDeleteIt is a spectacular tree! Especially pretty with the snow. You are fortunate to be able to view the tree in each season!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beauty which has stood the test of time!
