Winter Garden

This wasn't our first snowfall, but it feels like it.  It's the real stuff, crunchy and packable, not the mush of the last two.  It made for much prettier photos in the garden too having covering up all that brown.  I enjoyed the fresh palette, a new landscape without leaving my yard.

I shared this post over at The Run*A*Round Ranch for Good Fences.

  1. Beautiful pictures.

I can't believe you have snow. We have been in the high 80s with a few days of 90 the last week. Not supposed to cool off all that much this week. :-( I am SO ready for some fall weather.

    1. It is very nice to have the cooler temperatures. I'm always excited to get back into my sweaters after a hot summer. My favourite part? No bugs!

  2. It's lovely but I'm happy that it's yours and not ours. I really liked your photos, especially the 2nd one. There's such a calm peaceful feel to these photos.

    1. The only time I don't like the snow is when I have to drive. I am miserable in icy conditions.

  3. So lovely.
Our "staying snow" came yesterday. It's a few weeks late this year and I've been revelling in the lengthened FALL feeling.

    Stay cosy ~p

    1. It's all but melted now, mild temperatures and little wind are lengthening our fall. But without color, I'm ready for more snow.

    1. Thank you for stopping by. I find a gentle snowfall to be the most calming thing I the world. I also really love calm and soothing blogs and yours is one of the best, but I can no longer visit because it says, 'invitation only'. It is perfectly okay if that is how you would like it, but I had to say that I miss my visits there.
