Meanwhile in Canada

It's late March, and it is cold. But on the day we noticed the ice cream shop was re-opened, it was 2 degrees above zero C*.  Apparently, that is warm enough, because there were several customers enjoying their first "Scoops" of the season.  The good news is, it won't melt and if you drop it, you can most likely pick it up out of some clean snow!

  1. No snow here and a bit milder...at least for today since they're calling for snow showers on Easter. I'm so over it! Enjoy a scoop for me!

  2. Hi Andrea - true notes you've written - I've had a couple of ice-creams here ... but it's been warmer on the west coast and standing in the sun eating - it's been lovely - Spring is on its way ... cheers Hilary

  3. Hahahaaaa....if I chose a lemon sherbert and it fell on the snow and I couldn’t quite make it out in the snow, being yellow and all. I might leave it there.

  5. I worked for a guy who claimed winter was the BEST time to eat icecream cones outside! He loved the cold weather. I hope the temps continue to rise for you very soon. We got up to 10C this weekend. 10!! But today it's only 1C and it was snowing a teeny bit earlier.
