Flowing Water

I took this photo quite awhile ago, and forgot about it.  I really like how it turned out.  The water carved its way through the snow is such a graceful curve, and for a short time I could hear the water babbling along.  It wasn't long before the flow slowed too much to be heard, but it is still nice to have water in the creek.

    I ♥ the sound of moving water. We live on a very wide river. I could sit and watch the water move along for HOURS!

    I like this! Flowing water during any season is mesmerizing and the tree line adds some depth to your wonderful black and white photo.

Snow Day!

It has been a wonderful, drawn out fall.  I've enjoyed easy walks around my yard well into December, and more time outdoors than I usually get during these first two winter months. This balance between indoors and outdoors is essential to keeping me feeling good.  I hate being cooped up in the house for too long without a breath of fresh air.  It makes me tired, and I'm a grouch when I'm tired. Yesterday, Old Man Winter decided to correct his oversight in our corner of the world, and deposited between 6 and 8 inches of snow.  It looked light and fluffy, but it was actually very dense and it took a lot of work on my husband's part to tidy up the driveway.
