Grow Your Blog Event 2014

Image
A few of you already know about the "Grow Your Blog" event that is being hosted by a super-fantastic lady and blogger, Vicki of  '2 Bags Full... '.  For details, click on the link or the picture in the sidebar.  The idea is to meet new bloggers that talk about things that interest you, and in the process you may find some people that are interested in your blog.  In my opinion, the best scenario is when you find a person who is on the same page as you, so to speak, and you can share equally in each others blogs.  When that happens, you've made a friend.  And, it is always nice to make a new friend.  This is the second go around for this event, and although I did not take part in last year's, I did find the list of blogger's that did.  From that list I've found at least 10 blogs that I am newly in love with, (a great feeling), picked up a follower on my own blog, (yay!) and have also had several drop-in, commenting visitors...

Concerning Writing

Image
While sitting in the car waiting for my Husband to come out of what must have been the seventh hardware store of that particular shopping trip, I picked up my phone, and started reading a few of my last blog posts.  Having not visited since January, (and not being at all troubled by that), I was quite detached from what I had written.  Much to my surprise, I quite enjoyed what was there.  This surprised me because whenever I reread the drivel in my journal, I hate myself.  I usually burn it and pretend it never happened.  Not to say that I feel it is very good writing, but most of what I write here is positive.  Happy memories or recent experiences are what have inspired my blog entries thus far.  There is nothing dishonest about what I've allowed to filter through onto the web, but there certainly is plenty left out.   Just because I haven't written anything here in the past 6 months doesn't mean...

OWOH Is Over

The One World One Heart blog tour is over. What a ton of fun that was. I met so many wonderful people and their art, and have added several more blogs to my reading list. A huge Thank-you goes to Lisa Swifka for organizing this huge event. The amount of work she put into it is so much appreciated by all of us in blog land. The winner of my stone necklace is Vicki from 2 Bags Full , a beautiful blog about her travels and her adventures in knitting and in life. I hope you enjoy your new necklace Vicki. I have not, as yet, been contacted from any of the blogs I visited during the event, but if I am lucky enough to win something, you'll read about it here. Thank-you to everyone who participated and to everyone that visited my blog. Although this event is over, I am definitely not finished with bloghopping. I look forward to meeting many more bloggers and their many forms of art.
