The Tree
I've got our home into full Christmas swing. I've really enjoyed making Christmas cards and they are on their way. Next is to wrap the gifts and then into the kitchen for my favourite part, the baking!
I love this tree more every year. It took me over 4 hours to put it together and I had help putting the lights into it this time. There are so many memories in its branches, and we add more every year.
I can hardly wait until school is out for the year, and I can cuddle up with my family for Christmas movies and games. Even when we are all off in our separate corners doing our own things, I love the feeling a full house gives me.
This picture was taken just before sunrise. Every morning, this time of year, I am so lucky to have a fantastic view. |
Hello, your tree looks beautiful. Getting things ready for Christmas is part of the fun, right? I need to make some cookies. Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is lovely, but that view out the window! Oh MY! Spectacular! I love the sky at sunrise.
ReplyDeleteOh your tree is beautiful Andrea!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the feeling of contentment that comes when our home is full & everyone is just together!
Youngest daughter and I spent this afternoon baking!
Your tree is so beautiful. I know exactly what you mean about all being home together. I feel the same way. Our Christmas break starts this Friday (or is it after school on Thursday? I think that's how they feel!), and I'm looking forward to the peace and slower pace. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea - fantastic to see ... I think this year I'll be muddled up - hopefully next year - I'll be joining in more - enjoy the rest of the seasonal cheer - beautiful tree .... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYour tree is so beautiful Andrea, I was so excited when I saw your post named The Tree. I definitely had to go see. Your family together for movies and games sounds so wonderful! Happy cuddling!!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks beautiful! It's so tall :) I cut way back on the decorating last year, and I quite liked the effect ... especially on the tree. I enjoy having my family all home too, but this year, they've been home all along so I didn't get a chance to miss anyone, ha! We're looking forward to some movie and pizza nights and a special Christmas dinner out. Enjoy your family time!

Hi Andrea. Your tree, and the view behind it looks like a Christmas card itself! Also, you did an amazing job on the hand crafted Christmas cards. They will be a favourite with the lucky recipients, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely tree, Andrea. I can see why it took you so long to put it together with all the beautiful decorations you have. I'm looking forward to my Christmas baking, too. Have a wonderful Sunday and keep warm! Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful. I love when we are all home. I feel so much better knowing I don't have to worry about anyone.
ReplyDeleteAndrea - you look so beautifully calmly organised for Christmas, all that is left is to have everyone home for that lovely grand finale to all your special efforts. You will have a giggle at my life, we shipped the tree to Bangkok along with half the decorations, then decided to have an Aussie Christmas. The cards have been posted in Vietnam - the lady at the Post Office gave us one of those knowing looks which said I don't like your chances for anyone, anywhere in the world getting these this year! Next year I'm coming to your Christmas where you do it in style!!!
